Who you are

You are a talented attorney with over 5 years of legal experience, holding a Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent. You have a strong understanding of government contracting laws and experience in negotiating and drafting technology licensing agreements with government customers. You are comfortable making decisions in ambiguous situations and can work independently while managing multiple projects effectively.

You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy being part of a diverse legal team that focuses on building, innovating, and simplifying processes for business partners and customers. Your ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively is one of your key strengths, allowing you to work closely with AWS's public sector sales teams.

What you'll do

In this role, you will support Amazon Web Services by negotiating, drafting, and advising on a wide range of procurement and technology licensing matters involving public sector customers worldwide. You will work closely with public sector resellers, distributors, and systems integrators that sell to U.S. Federal, State, and local Government customers. Your responsibilities will include providing legal guidance on compliance matters and ensuring that all agreements align with AWS's business objectives.

You will participate in team-wide meetings and collaborative projects, contributing to departmental goals and fostering a supportive team culture. Your role will provide you with access and visibility to business leadership, allowing you to influence decisions and drive legal strategies that support AWS's growth in the public sector.
