You have 5+ years of experience in product management, particularly in technical environments — you've successfully led product initiatives that required deep technical understanding and collaboration with engineering teams. Your background includes working with cloud technologies, ideally AWS, and you have a strong grasp of server deployment and scaling challenges in the gaming industry.

You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders — you thrive in cross-functional teams and enjoy collaborating with engineers, designers, and business leaders to drive product success. Your analytical mindset enables you to leverage data to inform product decisions and prioritize features that enhance user experience.

You are passionate about gaming and understand the unique challenges that game developers face — your experience includes working with multiplayer game architectures and you are familiar with the nuances of game server hosting. You are adept at identifying customer pain points and translating them into actionable product strategies.

Desirable

Experience with hybrid compute topologies and cost reduction strategies in cloud environments would be a plus — familiarity with technologies such as Linux and Spot Instances can help you optimize server performance and costs. You are also open to exploring innovative solutions that enhance player engagement and retention.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead product initiatives for GameLift Servers, an AWS service designed to help game developers deploy and scale game servers — you will work closely with engineering teams to address the challenges of server deployment across multiple edge locations globally. Your responsibilities will include defining product roadmaps, prioritizing features based on customer feedback, and ensuring that the product meets the needs of game developers.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the performance of game servers, focusing on scaling capabilities to support 100K+ game servers and millions of concurrent players — your role will involve analyzing performance metrics and implementing strategies to reduce latency and improve the overall player experience.

You will also engage with customers to gather insights and feedback, using this information to refine product features and drive continuous improvement — your ability to synthesize customer needs into product requirements will be crucial for the success of GameLift Servers.
