Who you are
You have extensive experience in workplace health and safety management, demonstrating a strong understanding of local and regional regulations. Your ability to build trust and influence change is evident as you partner with operations teams to ensure compliance with company EHS policies. You possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, allowing you to convey clear and concise messages to various stakeholders.
Your background includes a deep knowledge of safety programs, environmental standards, and ergonomic practices. You are adept at conducting comprehensive risk assessments and analyzing safety data to identify areas for improvement. Your experience with lean principles and Kaizen events enables you to lead continuous improvement initiatives effectively, reducing risks and enhancing workplace safety.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for executing Amazon's workplace health and safety policies at the Stockton site. You will collaborate closely with site-level operations teams to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. Your leadership will drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing conditional and ergonomic risks in processes, ensuring a safe and healthful working environment for associates.
You will instruct and train operations managers and site EHS professionals on company safety standards, fostering a culture of safety throughout the organization. By identifying best practices and incorporating them into safety policies, you will contribute to the ongoing enhancement of Amazon's safety programs. Your role will also involve developing a team of safety managers, guiding them in their professional growth and ensuring they are equipped to uphold safety standards across the site.
