Who you are
You are an experienced software development engineer with a strong background in building scalable systems. You have a proven track record of tackling complex technical challenges and applying sound engineering judgment in ambiguous situations. Your expertise in AWS is complemented by your ability to collaborate effectively with compliance colleagues, technical program managers, and product management teams.
You thrive in environments where you can lead the technical design and implementation of large-scope systems. Your experience includes architecting software solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing engineering infrastructures, particularly in networking systems. You are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, meeting the export control requirements for this role.
Desirable
Experience with regulatory compliance in technology sectors is a plus. Familiarity with satellite communications or similar fields would enhance your candidacy. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and are eager to contribute to innovative projects that have a significant impact on connectivity for underserved communities.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining tools and systems that enable Amazon Leoβs compliance with extensive regulatory obligations. You will partner closely with compliance colleagues to deliver robust, scalable tooling and system solutions that support compliance efforts across the Global Service Compliance team. Your work will directly contribute to the mission of providing fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers in areas lacking existing networks.
You will lead the technical design and implementation of systems that are critical to Amazon Leo's operations. This includes architecting software solutions that integrate with Amazon Leo's engineering infrastructure, ensuring that all systems meet compliance standards. You will also be involved in troubleshooting and optimizing existing systems to enhance performance and reliability.
Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work alongside cross-functional teams to ensure that compliance requirements are met effectively. You will engage in regular discussions with technical program managers and product management to align on project goals and deliverables. Your contributions will help shape the future of connectivity for individuals and organizations in need.
