Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly with database systems and query optimization. Your background includes a strong understanding of database internals and query optimizer architectures, allowing you to tackle complex challenges in distributed SQL databases. You are proficient in AWS services and have a solid grasp of SQL, enabling you to design efficient and scalable solutions. Your collaborative nature allows you to work effectively across diverse teams and projects, contributing to impactful innovations in cloud computing.
Desirable
Experience with serverless architectures and distributed systems is a plus. Familiarity with cost-based optimization strategies and execution engine improvements will set you apart. You are comfortable with the latest trends in cloud technologies and are eager to learn and adapt to new tools and frameworks.
What you'll do
In this role, you will focus on enhancing the query optimization and execution layer of Amazon Aurora DSQL.
