You have a strong background in software development, particularly in building backend services that can handle high transaction volumes. Your experience includes designing and implementing APIs that are both extensible and efficient, ensuring they meet the needs of millions of users. You are familiar with AWS technologies and understand how to architect solutions that are scalable and fault-tolerant.

What you'll do
In this role, you will design and implement ultra-high-throughput backend services that support millions of Ring devices, ensuring they can handle over 1 million transactions per second. You will build APIs and data models that serve as the foundation for Ring's mobile applications and internal service ecosystem. Your responsibilities will include driving technical excellence and establishing engineering best practices within the team.
You will architect fault-tolerant distributed systems using AWS services, ensuring scalability from thousands to millions of concurrent device operations. You will partner with cross-functional teams to translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions, contributing to the overall success of the Device Guardians team. Your work will directly impact how customers interact with their Ring ecosystem through mobile apps and smart home integrations.
