Who you are
You have 3+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong foundation in design patterns, reliability, and scaling of systems. Your expertise in data structures and algorithms allows you to tackle complex problems effectively. You are proficient in at least one programming language, such as Java or C#, and have experience with the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, and testing.
You hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, which has equipped you with the theoretical knowledge to complement your practical experience. You are a problem solver who enjoys diving deep into abstract challenges and coming up with innovative designs. Your ability to work collaboratively in a team environment is essential, as you will be influencing the direction of technology that impacts hundreds of millions of customers.
What you'll do
As a Software Development Engineer at Amazon, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable solutions for the retail ordering workflow. You will work on real-world problems that require a deep understanding of large-scale distributed systems. Your role will involve owning your systems end-to-end, from design through deployment, ensuring they are robust and reliable.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve the platform, addressing current and future challenges. Your contributions will directly impact the customer experience, enabling millions of customers to buy anything, anywhere, anytime. What we offer
Amazon provides a competitive salary range of CAD 114,800.00 - 191,800.00 annually, along with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), and paid time off.
