Who you are

You have a strong background in systems development and operations, with at least 5 years of experience in building and managing high-availability services. Your expertise in automation has allowed you to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency, making you a key player in any team. You are comfortable collaborating with global teams and influencing the evolution of technology and services.

Your experience with AWS services, particularly EC2, S3, and DynamoDB, has equipped you with the skills necessary to deliver scalable solutions. You understand the importance of reliability and performance in cloud services and are committed to ensuring the best possible experience for customers. You are also familiar with on-call rotations and are prepared to address incidents as they arise.

What you'll do

In this role, you will oversee the launch of the European Sovereign Cloud, working closely with various AWS teams to ensure a successful rollout. You will contribute to the enhancement of day-to-day operations, focusing on improving availability, reliability, latency, and performance. Your responsibilities will include leading development teams and ensuring that AWS services meet the high standards expected by EU customers.

You will collaborate with technology leaders to influence the direction of AWS services and technology, ensuring that they align with customer needs and expectations. Your role will also involve participating in incident resolution during on-call rotations, ensuring that any issues are addressed promptly and effectively. You will be instrumental in building a best-in-class development engineering and operations team that embodies AWS' commitment to customer satisfaction.
