Who you are

You are a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer with over 5 years of experience in the aerospace industry, particularly in spacecraft architecture. Your expertise includes functional decomposition and requirements definition, allowing you to create comprehensive interface control documentation that meets project needs. You have a strong background in managing engineering budgets and developing verification and validation plans, ensuring that all systems meet the necessary standards and specifications.

Your collaborative abilities are exceptional, as you will interface directly with various internal and external stakeholders, including design teams, test teams, and manufacturing teams. You thrive in environments that require clear communication and teamwork, and you are adept at navigating complex project requirements. Your educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Reliability Engineering, which provides you with a solid foundation for this role.

Desirable

Experience in an MSBE-driven environment is strongly preferred, as it aligns with the methodologies used in satellite systems engineering. Familiarity with industry standards and practices will enhance your ability to contribute effectively to the team.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the systems engineering efforts for Amazon Leo, Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that all systems are designed and implemented according to the specified requirements. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define and manage requirements, ensuring that all aspects of the project are aligned with the overall mission of delivering fast, reliable internet connectivity to underserved areas.

You will develop and maintain comprehensive verification and validation plans, ensuring that all systems meet the necessary performance and reliability standards. Your role will also involve managing engineering budgets, allocating resources effectively to meet project timelines and objectives. You will be expected to provide technical guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and problem-solving.
