Who you are
You are an enthusiastic individual with a foundational understanding of indirect tax compliance, particularly in the context of APAC jurisdictions. You possess a keen attention to detail and are eager to learn about the complexities of tax regulations and compliance processes. Your ability to work collaboratively within a team is essential, as you will be part of a larger group focused on ensuring compliance across various regions. You have a basic understanding of financial systems and are comfortable engaging with technical accounting concepts. You are proactive in identifying opportunities for process improvements and are motivated to drive positive changes within the organization.
What you'll do
As a Tax Analyst in Amazon's International Indirect Tax Compliance team, you will prepare, analyze, and submit indirect tax returns for APAC countries. Your responsibilities will include assisting with ITX registrations across various jurisdictions and addressing compliance queries from Amazon's diverse business units. You will also support the mapping of ITX processes, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring that all filings are completed accurately and on time. Additionally, you may assist with internal and external audits, collaborating with colleagues in ITX Planning, Controversy, and Controllership. Your role will involve liaising with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with tax regulations and to facilitate smooth operations within the tax department.
