Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field, and possess significant experience in Brazilian tax laws including ICMS, ICMS-ST, IPI, PIS, COFINS, and ISS. Your background includes working in a large public accounting firm or a multinational corporate tax department, where you've developed a strong understanding of tax compliance activities. You are proficient in Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level, enabling you to handle complex data and reporting tasks effectively. Your communication skills are exceptional, allowing you to articulate complex tax laws in a business setting, both in Portuguese and English. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with stakeholders to ensure accuracy in tax returns and compliance activities.

Desirable

Experience in international taxation concepts is a plus, as is familiarity with ancillary obligations such as CIAP, Gia, Sped-Fiscal, GIS, EC, Inventory, Bloco K, and EFD Contribuições. You are detail-oriented and possess strong analytical skills, enabling you to resolve doubts and propose effective tax solutions. Your ability to participate in daily video conferences and communicate effectively through emails is crucial for success in this role.

What you'll do

As a Senior Tax Analyst on Amazon's Tax Compliance team, you will provide effective support in tax closing activities, ensuring compliance with Brazilian tax laws and internal controls. You will coordinate and perform tax compliance activities, working closely with the Accounting team to prepare calculation records and reconcile tax returns. Your role will involve active participation in company projects, where you will resolve doubts and propose tax paths and solutions. You will ensure adherence to company deadlines and maintain accuracy in all tax-related documentation. Your expertise will be vital in navigating complex tax challenges and contributing to the overall success of the team.
