Overview

Amazon is hiring a Test Automation Engineer for the LEO Antenna Test Infrastructure team to architect HW/SW infrastructure for satellite payload antennas. You'll work with Linux Embedded OS and develop test frameworks. This role requires experience in RF testing and automation.

Who you are

You have a strong background in test automation and systems development, with experience in architecting hardware and software infrastructures for complex systems. Your expertise in Linux and Embedded Linux allows you to interface effectively with various test equipment and automation systems. You are skilled in Python and have a solid understanding of RF testing methodologies, enabling you to design and implement effective test procedures. You thrive in multidisciplinary environments, collaborating with engineers from various fields such as metrology, robotics, and antenna design. You are detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality test metrics that drive product improvements.

Desirable

Experience with satellite systems or antenna technology is a plus, as is familiarity with data collection pipelines and automation frameworks. You are comfortable conducting code reviews and mentoring junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within your team. Your ability to communicate effectively with responsible engineers and other stakeholders ensures that testing processes align with product goals.

What you'll do

In this role, you will architect the hardware and software infrastructure for test automation of satellite payload antennas and customer terminals. You will integrate test automation systems with existing data collection pipelines, ensuring that critical measurements are captured accurately and efficiently. You will develop a comprehensive test framework that allows for the creation, tracking, updating, and execution of tests, enabling repeatable and discoverable testing processes. Your work will involve designing new RF and Over The Air (OTA) test systems that expand test coverage and improve accuracy. You will collaborate closely with responsible engineers to capture testing efforts in new procedures and documentation, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned on testing objectives and outcomes.
