Validation Engineer • Mid-Level

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and possess strong debugging skills, particularly in identifying bugs in architecture and algorithms. You have experience verifying at multiple levels of logic, from IP blocks to full system testing, and are familiar with high-speed I/O technologies such as PCIe, HBM, and UCIe. Your background includes working with ARM and various DSP ISAs, and you have a solid understanding of SoC architecture.

You are skilled in developing and maintaining software-based validation tests and automation frameworks for both pre-silicon and post-silicon environments. Your experience includes executing feature enablement and validation test cases for high-speed interfaces, and you are adept at driving root-cause analysis for device-related issues. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with architecture, IP owners, DV, software, and signal integrity teams to productize cutting-edge technology.

Desirable

A Master's degree in Electrical or Communications Engineering is a plus, as is familiarity with formal verification techniques including abstraction and end-to-end checking. You are proactive in documenting failure analysis and reporting test progress, ensuring robust and scalable high-speed I/O configurations for machine learning applications.

What you'll do

As an HSIO Validation Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the correct operation and scalability of high-speed I/O technologies in our custom machine learning chips. You will collaborate with various teams to verify and integrate high-speed I/O functionality and performance. Your role will involve executing feature enablement and validation test cases, as well as developing and maintaining software-based validation tests and automation frameworks.

You will debug and drive root-cause analysis for device-related issues, documenting your findings and reporting test progress to stakeholders. Your work will directly impact the performance and reliability of our machine learning applications, as you drive robust and scalable high-speed I/O configurations. You will gain a deep understanding of SoC architecture and contribute to the productization of the latest high-speed I/O technology in both pre-silicon and post-silicon environments.
