Amazon is hiring a Senior HSIO Validation Engineer to ensure the correct operation and scalability of high-speed I/O protocols for machine learning chips. You'll work with various teams to validate and integrate high-speed I/O functionality. This position requires 5+ years of experience in silicon validation and proficiency in programming languages like C/C++ and Python.

Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in silicon validation and a strong background in high-speed I/O protocols such as PCIe, HBM, and UCIe. Your expertise in low-level programming with C/C++ allows you to write effective validation and diagnostic tests, while your proficiency in scripting languages like Python enhances your automation capabilities. You understand SoC architecture deeply and have hands-on experience in post-silicon debugging and bring-up of high-speed interfaces.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with architecture, IP owners, DV, software, and signal integrity teams to ensure the successful productization of high-speed I/O technology. Your analytical skills enable you to drive root-cause analysis for device-related issues, documenting failure analysis and reporting test progress effectively. You are committed to driving robust, scalable, and stable high-speed I/O configurations for machine learning applications.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for executing feature enablement and validation test cases for high-speed interfaces, ensuring their correct operation and scalability. You will develop and maintain software-based validation tests and automation frameworks for both pre-silicon and post-silicon environments. Your work will involve debugging and driving root-cause analysis for device-related issues, documenting your findings and reporting test progress to relevant stakeholders.
You will gain a deep understanding of SoC architecture and collaborate with various teams to verify and integrate high-speed I/O functionality and performance. Your contributions will be crucial in productizing the latest high-speed I/O technology, impacting the performance of machine learning chips. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and contribute to the overall growth of the team.
What we offer
Amazon provides a competitive salary range of $183,000.00 - $247,600.00 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
