You have a proven track record in vendor management, with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. You excel in building and maintaining strong vendor relationships, ensuring that both vendor and customer experiences are exceptional. You are a strategic thinker who can translate data into actionable insights, making high-impact decisions that drive business growth. Your leadership skills are evident as you mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of high performance and innovation.
Desirable
Experience in e-commerce or retail environments is a plus, as is familiarity with P&L management. You are comfortable with complex negotiations and have a knack for identifying growth opportunities while finding creative ways to reduce costs. Your collaborative nature allows you to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including Supply Chain, Finance, Advertising, Marketing, and Customer Success.
What you'll do
As a Senior Vendor Manager on Amazon's Tools team, you will shape the future of your category while driving business growth. You will own the P&L for a major category, responsible for topline growth, profitability, and customer experience. Your role will involve developing and executing strategic plans that expand product selection and drive operational excellence. You will lead long-term Joint Business Planning and own complex negotiations with key vendors. Identifying growth opportunities will be a key aspect of your responsibilities, as will finding creative ways to reduce costs. You will define and prioritize meaningful ways to delight customers, contributing to the development of new programs and features that enhance the shopping and selling experience on our platform.
Collaboration is essential in this position, as you will partner with various teams to drive initiatives spanning the entire business. Your leadership will extend to mentoring and developing team members, fostering a culture of high performance and innovation. You will ensure that the team is well-positioned to meet customer needs throughout the year, especially during peak seasons.
