You have significant experience in workplace health and safety management, ideally in a large-scale operational environment. Your expertise in creating and implementing safety protocols ensures that health and safety are prioritized in all strategic decisions. You are a strong leader who can manage and develop a diverse team, fostering a culture of safety and compliance.
You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to effectively represent the organization in discussions with regulatory authorities and stakeholders. Your ability to listen and adapt to feedback helps you continuously improve safety standards and practices across the site. You are committed to creating a safe working environment for all employees and are proactive in identifying potential hazards.
What you'll do
As the Senior WHS Manager, you will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for embedding health and safety into the core operations of the Senlis warehouse. You will develop and execute a comprehensive safety roadmap that aligns with Amazon's safety management system. Your role involves coaching and mentoring a team of 10 professionals, including technicians and specialists, to ensure they have the necessary skills and training to excel in their roles.
You will ensure that the site complies with all relevant legislation and Amazon's internal safety standards, actively engaging with employees to promote a culture of safety first. Your presence on the ground will be crucial in monitoring compliance and driving improvements in safety practices. You will also lead initiatives to enhance the overall safety performance of the European network, deploying group standards and managing projects that contribute to continuous improvement.
