Overview

amo is hiring a Staff Product Designer to architect core UX flows for their next generation of social apps. You'll work with interaction design and systems-level thinking to create intuitive and emotionally resonant products. This role requires strong design fundamentals and collaboration skills.

Job Description

Who you are

You are a Staff Product Designer with a strong background in interaction design and systems-level thinking — your superpowers lie in crafting signature interaction patterns that resonate with users. You have a meticulous eye for detail and a solid foundation in design principles, allowing you to zoom out and see the bigger picture while ensuring all components fit together seamlessly.

You thrive in creative chaos and are comfortable with ambiguity — your experience in developing flexible design systems supports rapid iteration and prototyping. You have a passion for creating intuitive and emotionally resonant user experiences, and you understand the importance of making complex features feel simple and accessible to users.

You are a natural collaborator who enjoys working closely with cross-functional teams — your ability to communicate design concepts effectively helps bridge the gap between design and engineering. You are eager to evolve best practices and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the design team.

Desirable

Experience with motion design and prototyping tools is a plus — you are familiar with using tools like After Effects to bring your designs to life. A background in social apps or similar products would be advantageous, as you understand the unique challenges and opportunities in this space.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for architecting core UX flows and developing signature interactions that enhance user engagement — your work will directly impact how users interact with our products. You will embed yourself in the design team, continually evolving best practices for translating feature concepts into scalable UX and beautiful interfaces.

You will create prototypes early in the design process to make ideas tangible and facilitate feedback — your iterative approach ensures that user needs are met while maintaining high design standards. You will collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to ensure that design solutions are feasible and aligned with technical constraints.

Your role will also involve maintaining a flexible design system that supports rapid iteration and prototyping — you will drive the evolution of this system to ensure it meets the needs of the team and the users. You will participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to your peers, fostering a culture of collaboration and growth within the team.

What we offer

amo provides a supportive environment for you to thrive as a designer — we offer assistance with relocation to Paris, including help with visa processes and finding permanent housing. You will receive French lessons to help you settle into your new life in Paris, ensuring you feel at home in your new environment.

We believe in empowering our team members with the resources and freedom to create top-notch products — you will have the opportunity to work on innovative projects that aim to reach billions of users worldwide. Join us and be part of a team that values creativity, collaboration, and user-centered design.
