Who you are
You have 3+ years of experience in backend engineering, particularly in building scalable data systems that handle large volumes of events. Your expertise in Java and Python allows you to design and implement robust APIs that integrate seamlessly with various data sources. You are familiar with cloud services, particularly AWS, and understand how to leverage them for data processing and storage. Your experience with databases, especially PostgreSQL, enables you to optimize queries and ensure data integrity. You have a solid understanding of REST API design principles and can create efficient endpoints for data access. Additionally, you are comfortable working with containerization technologies like Docker, which helps in deploying applications consistently across environments.
Desirable
Experience with Elasticsearch is a plus, as it enhances your ability to manage and search through large datasets effectively. Familiarity with data analytics platforms and tools will help you contribute to Amplitude's mission of improving digital experiences for customers. What you'll do
As a Backend Engineer at Amplitude, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining the core platform that processes up to 2 trillion events per month.
