Overview
Anrok is hiring a Software Engineer for their Infrastructure team to design, build, and operate systems that support their tax automation platform. You'll work with GCP, PostgreSQL, and TypeScript. This position requires 4+ years of experience.
Job Description
Who you are
You have 4+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in building and maintaining infrastructure systems. You understand the importance of reliability, security, scalability, and performance in software applications, and you are eager to take ownership of your impact on the team and the product. You are skilled at identifying and fixing bugs, and you thrive in environments where you can find simple solutions to complex problems tailored to specific needs.
You are familiar with cloud platforms and have experience with tools like GCP, Pulumi, and databases such as PostgreSQL. While prior experience with these specific technologies is not required, you are open to learning and adapting to new tools and frameworks as needed. You possess strong problem-solving skills and are comfortable making technical decisions that affect the infrastructure of the product.
What you'll do
In this role, you will design, build, and operate the systems that support Anrok's tax automation platform. You will take responsibility for the reliability, security, scalability, and performance of the infrastructure, ensuring that it meets the needs of the product and the engineers who build it. You will collaborate closely with other engineers to drive technical decisions about the infrastructure and contribute to the overall architecture of the system.
You will also be involved in identifying and fixing bugs, ensuring that the systems run smoothly and efficiently. Your work will directly impact the ability of businesses to automate their tax compliance processes, allowing them to focus on growth rather than compliance complexity. You will have the opportunity to work in a fully remote setup, with the option for hybrid work if you are based in one of the hub cities such as San Francisco, New York, or Salt Lake City.
What we offer
Anrok provides a supportive work environment where you can thrive and grow your skills. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, along with the flexibility of remote work. You will be part of a team that is making a significant impact in the digital economy, helping businesses navigate the complexities of tax compliance. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
