You have over 7 years of experience in machine learning and computer vision, with a strong background in developing and evaluating AI systems. Your expertise in visual and spatial reasoning is complemented by your ability to work collaboratively across teams, ensuring that your contributions significantly enhance AI capabilities. You are passionate about creating reliable and interpretable AI systems that are beneficial for users and society.
You possess a deep understanding of reinforcement learning and its applications in improving AI models. Your programming skills in Python allow you to implement complex algorithms and run experiments effectively. You are comfortable with both theoretical and practical aspects of AI research, and you thrive in environments that encourage innovation and experimentation.
What you'll do
In this role, you will run experiments to evaluate various architectural variants and data strategies aimed at improving Claude's vision capabilities. You will develop and test tools and infrastructure that enable Claude to reason over visual inputs, ensuring that the improvements you deliver have a tangible impact on real-world tasks. You will also create evaluations and benchmarks to measure progress on multimodal capabilities throughout the training and deployment phases.
Collaboration is key in this position, as you will partner with the product organization to address customer challenges related to vision and spatial reasoning. Your work will directly influence the performance of Claude in practical applications, making your contributions vital to the success of the team and the company.
