Who you are
You have 1+ years of management experience in a technical environment, particularly in performance or distributed systems — you understand the intricacies of managing teams that work on complex AI systems and can guide your team through challenges. Your background in machine learning equips you with the knowledge to make informed decisions that enhance model performance and efficiency.
You are familiar with the technical stack of your team, allowing you to contribute as an individual contributor when necessary — this hands-on approach helps you maintain credibility and rapport with your team. You prioritize coaching and supporting your reports, ensuring they understand their professional growth paths and feel empowered to pursue them.
What you'll do
As an Engineering Manager at Anthropic, you will provide front-line leadership to engineering efforts aimed at improving model performance and scaling inference and training systems. You will manage the day-to-day execution of your team's work, ensuring that projects are prioritized effectively in a fast-paced environment.
