Who you are

You have a strong background in eDiscovery and Information Governance, with experience in managing preservation, collection, and production of electronically stored information (ESI). You understand the complexities of legal and regulatory frameworks and have a proven track record of developing eDiscovery systems and processes from the ground up. Your ability to work collaboratively with legal teams, outside counsel, and IT professionals is essential for success in this role.

You are detail-oriented and possess excellent organizational skills, allowing you to handle multiple active matters simultaneously. Your communication skills enable you to effectively convey complex information to various stakeholders, ensuring that everyone is aligned on eDiscovery strategies and objectives. You are proactive in identifying potential challenges and developing solutions to mitigate risks associated with eDiscovery obligations.

What you'll do

As the eDiscovery Lead at Anthropic, you will be responsible for establishing and managing the company's eDiscovery program. This includes developing processes for the preservation, collection, and production of ESI across various legal matters. You will work closely with litigation and regulatory counsel to support active cases and ensure compliance with legal obligations.

In addition to matter-level responsibilities, you will play a key role in shaping Anthropic's broader information governance program. This involves establishing retention policies, data classification frameworks, and best practices for managing electronic information. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Security and IT, to implement effective governance strategies that align with the company's mission to create reliable and beneficial AI systems.

You will also be involved in training and educating team members on eDiscovery processes and information governance principles, fostering a culture of compliance and awareness within the organization. Your expertise will be instrumental in navigating the evolving landscape of AI regulations and ensuring that Anthropic remains at the forefront of legal and regulatory compliance.
