Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in AI reliability or related fields — you've developed and maintained high-availability systems that serve millions of users and understand the intricacies of AI model deployment and monitoring. Your expertise in Python and cloud infrastructure allows you to design scalable solutions that meet demanding performance metrics.

You are familiar with AWS and have experience in deploying applications using Kubernetes and Docker — you understand how to leverage these technologies to create resilient systems that can handle varying loads and ensure uptime. Your knowledge of monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana enables you to implement effective observability practices, ensuring that systems are not only functional but also optimized for performance.

What you'll do

In this role, you will develop Service Level Objectives for AI model serving and training systems, balancing availability and latency with development velocity. You will design and implement monitoring systems that track key metrics such as availability and latency, ensuring that the AI systems perform reliably under load. You will assist in creating high-availability infrastructure capable of supporting millions of external customers and high-traffic internal workloads, ensuring that the systems are robust and scalable.

You will lead incident response efforts for critical AI systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to resolve issues swiftly and effectively. Your role will involve developing automated failover and recovery systems for model serving deployments across multiple regions and cloud providers, enhancing the overall reliability of the AI services provided by Anthropic.
