Experience with DoD acquisition processes, including Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) is a plus. Familiarity with DoD 5000 series directives will enhance your ability to navigate the complexities of defense contracting. You are a strategic thinker who can translate technical requirements into actionable product strategies, and you thrive in collaborative environments where you can lead cross-functional teams.

What you'll do

As the Director of Product Management for Appian Defense Cloud, you will lead the charge in defining and executing the market vision for this new enclave of Appian Cloud. Your role will involve extensive market analysis to understand the competitive landscape and identify opportunities for growth within the DoD sector. You will be responsible for the full scope of go-to-market activities, ensuring that the product is positioned effectively to meet the needs of defense customers. This includes developing marketing strategies, creating content for sales enablement, and collaborating closely with engineering teams to align product development with market demands. You will also engage with prospects and customers to gather feedback and refine the product offering, ensuring it meets the high standards expected by the DoD.
