Who you are

You hold an M.S. degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related technical field, or possess equivalent practical experience. You have strong skills in data analysis and statistical methods utilized in a problem-solving environment. Your passion for debugging, testing, and triaging issues in complex AI and software systems sets you apart. Proficiency in Python is essential, and you have experience developing production-quality code. You possess an understanding of large language models (LLMs) and their applications in evaluations.

What you'll do

As an AI Evaluation Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain auto-evaluators that measure the quality of Siri’s core AI engine. You will identify and triage issues, implementing changes to improve the trustworthiness of these evaluators. Your work will involve both simulators and real devices to ensure high-fidelity evaluation and a superior user experience. Collaboration with scientists and engineers across software and ML teams will be key, contributing to products shipped across Apple's portfolio of devices.
