Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of relevant industry experience, particularly in subjective and objective image quality evaluation. Your background includes a solid understanding of the ISP pipeline and 3A evaluation, showcasing your attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are adept at analyzing and triaging video quality issues, ensuring that you can contribute effectively to the team.
Your experience with coding languages such as Python, C, and C++ allows you to engage with technical aspects of the role, while your solid video photography skills enhance your ability to evaluate camera performance. Excellent written and verbal communication skills enable you to collaborate cross-functionally, providing valuable feedback to engineering teams and participating in IQ evaluations for new features and algorithms.
What you'll do
As a Camera Video Quality Engineer, you will be a critical part of the Video Engineering Image Quality (VEIQ) team, responsible for delivering exceptional video quality on Apple products like iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Vision Pro. You will utilize imaging labs to run objective IQ metrics and conduct real-world camera video quality verification, identifying and analyzing quality issues that arise in both controlled and real-world environments.
Your role will involve participating in IQ evaluations for new features and algorithms, providing insightful feedback to engineering teams to enhance product performance. You will analyze, reproduce, and isolate video quality issues, ensuring that the final output meets Apple's high standards. Your contributions will significantly impact the overall video quality, making you an integral part of the team.
