Job Description

Who you are

You have 20+ years of relevant industry experience, with a strong background in electrical engineering and a focus on high-speed SerDes technologies. Your expertise includes defining and owning end-to-end signal and power integrity strategies, ensuring robust interconnect performance from silicon to system. You are well-versed in modern interconnect protocols and system-level co-design, making you a key player in the development of cutting-edge SoCs.

Your deep understanding of system-level SIPI for high-speed SerDes (112G/224G and beyond) sets you apart. You have proven experience architecting solutions for high-performance interconnects using standards such as Ethernet, PCIe, UAL, and CXL. Your skills in end-to-end channel modeling and link budget analysis, including statistical and time-domain simulation, are critical to your success in this role.

You possess in-depth knowledge of SerDes TX/RX equalization techniques, clocking, and power delivery trade-offs. Your experience leading cross-functional teams and driving technical consensus across silicon architecture, circuit design, packaging, and system hardware groups showcases your leadership capabilities. You thrive in collaborative environments and are adept at guiding technical direction across various teams.

Desirable

A Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred, along with extensive experience in designing interconnects for high-speed applications. Your ability to analyze complex systems and make informed decisions will be invaluable in this role.

What you'll do

As the SIPI Architect, you will define and own the end-to-end signal and power integrity architecture for high-speed SerDes interconnects. You will guide technical direction across various teams, leading system-level trade-off analyses to ensure design robustness through advanced modeling and validation. Your role will involve collaborating with silicon architecture, circuit design, packaging, and system hardware groups to drive consensus and achieve project goals.

You will be responsible for ensuring robust interconnect performance from silicon to system, which includes conducting thorough analyses and simulations to validate designs. Your expertise will be crucial in architecting solutions that meet high-performance standards and align with industry protocols. You will also mentor junior engineers and contribute to their professional development, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence within the team.
