Who you are
You have a strong background in micro-architecture development and specification, with experience in high-level architectural exploration and detailed specification creation. Your expertise includes RTL ownership, where you've developed, assessed, and refined RTL designs to meet power, performance, area, and timing goals. You are familiar with verification processes, supporting verification teams in test bench development, formal methods, and simulation/emulation for functional verification. You have a keen interest in performance exploration and correlation, ensuring that designs meet the highest standards of efficiency and effectiveness.
You possess a solid understanding of CPU power management solutions and have a passion for innovation in hardware design. Your collaborative spirit allows you to work effectively with cross-functional teams, contributing to the development of world-class microprocessors that power Apple's innovative products. You are detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality results, always striving to leave the world better than you found it.
What you'll do
In this role, you will own or participate in the micro-architecture development and specification process, guiding projects from early exploration through to detailed specifications. You will take charge of RTL ownership, focusing on the development and refinement of RTL designs to achieve targeted power, performance, area, and timing goals. Your responsibilities will also include supporting the verification team in developing test benches and utilizing formal methods for functional verification.
You will engage in performance exploration and correlation, ensuring that the designs you work on meet the rigorous standards expected at Apple. Collaborating with other engineers, you will contribute to the design of high-performance, low-power microprocessors that are integral to Apple's product lineup, including the iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Your role will involve continuous learning and adaptation, as you stay abreast of the latest advancements in CPU architecture and power management technologies.
