Job Description
Who you are
You hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and have 3-5 years of experience in hardware systems integration. Your expertise includes PCB and FPC design, and you are skilled in cross-functional system integration. You have a strong background in bench validation, electrical function verification, and signal characterization, which allows you to ensure the highest quality in product development.
You are hands-on and enjoy debugging and performing failure analysis on manufacturing and component quality issues. Your ability to work collaboratively with various teams, including silicon, mechanical, software, and firmware engineers, makes you an asset in any project. You are also open to international travel, which is required up to 15%-20% of the time.
What you'll do
As a Hardware Systems Integration Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the Apple Watch systems hardware team, working from concept to mass production. You will be responsible for the design, build, and validation of hardware systems throughout the product development cycle. Your work will involve PCB and FPC design, ensuring that all components function seamlessly together.
You will conduct bench validation and electrical function verification, ensuring that all systems meet Apple's high standards. Your role will also include hands-on debugging and failure analysis, addressing any issues related to manufacturing, component quality, and system reliability. You will support factory builds from early NPI through product ramp, ensuring a smooth transition from development to production.
In addition, you will engage in early architecture handoff and technology concept investigations, contributing to prototyping efforts that push the boundaries of what is possible in wearable technology. Your contributions will directly impact the development of one of Apple's most personal devices, the Apple Watch.
