Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in building large-scale machine learning systems — you've successfully converted abstract goals into concrete, measurable requirements and understand the intricacies of deploying machine learning models in production environments. Your deep understanding of NLP fundamentals, including embedding generation, text similarity, and entity recognition, sets you apart in the field. You have 2+ years of experience in generative AI models such as Transformers and LLMs, showcasing your ability to work with cutting-edge technologies. Your strong programming skills and hands-on experience with machine learning tools and libraries like PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Scikit-Learn make you a valuable asset to any team. You are also proficient in programming languages such as Scala, Python, Java, or C++, which allows you to tackle diverse challenges in machine learning. Your familiarity with big data technologies like Spark, Solr/Lucene, and Cassandra enhances your capability to work with large-scale datasets effectively.

What you'll do

In this role, you will collaborate with various partners, including engineering organizations and designers, to architect the best overall system for Apple Maps. You will propose, implement, evaluate, and ship different AI/ML technologies to achieve specific tasks, ensuring that the models you deliver render high-quality results.
