Who you are

You have a BS or MS in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field, ideally with a focus on machine learning or data privacy. With a minimum of 3 years of professional software engineering experience, you have a proven track record of shipping production code. Your strong systems programming skills include proficiency in Swift and/or C++, and you have hands-on experience building for Apple platforms. You possess practical experience developing and deploying machine learning models in a production environment, whether on-device or server-side. Your passion for privacy is evident through your understanding of user privacy, data security, and the engineering challenges related to building trustworthy systems.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be a key contributor to Apple's mission of creating deeply personal and helpful AI systems that are private and compliant by design. You will architect and implement on-device ML solutions that not only delight users but also set the industry standard for trust and security. This hands-on position requires you to write code in Swift, optimize models for the edge, and serve as a crucial link between machine learning ambitions and core privacy values. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the intelligent features you build for the App Store, Apple Music, and Apple TV+ reach millions of users while maintaining an unwavering commitment to user privacy.
