Your background includes a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field. You are passionate about designing and developing software that enhances user experiences, particularly in the realm of AI and ML applications.

You thrive in collaborative environments and have excellent interpersonal skills, enabling you to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Your understanding of AI and ML algorithms is deep, and you are eager to apply this knowledge to create impactful features for Apple's Photos app.

Desirable

Experience optimizing machine learning and deep learning algorithms for embedded systems is a plus. Familiarity with large vision-language and multi-modal foundation models will set you apart as a candidate.

What you'll do

As a Machine Learning Engineer at Apple, you will be part of the Photos Intelligence team, where you will work on applications of generative AI models and algorithms. Your role will involve developing privacy-respecting AI and ML technologies that enhance the Photos app experience for hundreds of millions of users worldwide.

You will collaborate closely with software and hardware teams to ensure seamless integration of AI features into the Photos app. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing machine learning models, optimizing algorithms for performance, and contributing to the overall architecture of the Photos app.

You will also engage in research and development to explore new AI capabilities and improve existing features. Your work will directly impact the user experience, making it more intuitive and engaging.
