Who you are

You have 3+ years of experience working on machine learning projects specifically for computer vision and graphics applications — you've developed and deployed ML models that solve complex problems and enhance user experiences. Your software engineering skills are strong, particularly in Python, allowing you to effectively contribute to the entire ML cycle from data collection to model validation. You are familiar with PyTorch and have a solid understanding of its application in developing machine learning models. Your educational background includes a BA/BS degree in computer vision, computer graphics, machine learning, or a related field, and you may even hold an MS or PhD in one of these areas. You are self-motivated and have a proven ability to prioritize tasks effectively, ensuring timely delivery of projects. Excellent communication skills enable you to collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, making you a valuable asset to any project.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be part of Apple's Video Computer Vision (VCV) Face and Body technologies team, where you will actively engage in the entire machine learning cycle. Your responsibilities will include designing data collection processes, processing data, and developing machine learning models tailored for computer vision applications. You will conduct experiments to validate your models and ensure they perform well in real-world scenarios. Collaborating closely with other ML engineers, as well as data and software engineers, you will adapt state-of-the-art methods and implement new techniques to ship features on iOS and VisionOS platforms. Your work will directly impact millions of users, as you tackle previously unsolved challenges in human representation and motion. You will also have opportunities to contribute to applied research, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in computer graphics and vision technologies.
