Who you are
You have a Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Physics, Operations Research, or a similar quantitative domain. With over 2 years of experience in data analysis at web scale, you are proficient in Python and SQL, and you understand the intricacies of data-driven decision-making. You are a creative problem-solver who can innovate while adhering to robust privacy commitments, evolving metrics foundations into comprehensive insights platforms.
You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams. Your ability to communicate complex data insights clearly to stakeholders is one of your strengths. You are passionate about using data to drive user engagement, retention, and growth, and you are eager to contribute your unique perspective to a team committed to excellence.
What you'll do
As a Data Scientist in the Maps Evaluation organization, you will be instrumental in harnessing user data to inform critical decisions across the Apple Maps organization. Your responsibilities will span the full data lifecycle, from exploratory data analysis and metrics design to conducting deep dives and crafting executive reports. You will build intuitive dashboards that provide actionable insights to product and program teams, helping to define and prioritize strategic directions.
You will have the opportunity to own significant projects that make a tangible impact on the user experience within Apple Maps. Your work will involve innovating within the framework of privacy commitments while developing new metrics and analytical frameworks. You will collaborate closely with product and program teams, leveraging data to inform their strategic direction and prioritization.
