Who you are

You have a Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field, along with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in machine learning research. Your background includes a proven track record in deep learning, with publications in top machine learning and computer vision venues. You are familiar with the latest innovations in machine learning and computer vision, and you possess strong analytical skills that are critical for solving challenging problems in uncharted technical territories.

You are comfortable working at the cutting edge of research and thrive in an environment that requires self-direction and initiative. Your experience includes working with common machine learning tools such as PyTorch or TensorFlow, and you have a solid understanding of principles related to model prototyping, architecture design, and training procedures. You are adept at visualization and debugging methodologies, as well as objective function design.

What you'll do

In this role, you will collaborate with colleagues to research and develop machine learning-based video approaches for current and future Apple products. Your work will involve redefining the video experience for billions of users, tackling technically meaningful problems at the frontier of deep learning and compression research. You will be responsible for implementing practical ML algorithms that enhance video technology, contributing to the overall innovation of Apple's product offerings.

You will engage in hands-on experimentation and prototyping, iterating on your designs based on feedback and performance metrics.
