Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of relevant industry experience in Optics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Biophysics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Your thorough understanding of optical instruments, both imaging and non-imaging, allows you to excel in designing, modeling, and quantifying performance. You possess strong analytical model-building skills and a knack for problem-solving, which are essential in your role as an optical engineer.

You thrive in a collaborative environment where creativity and engineering excellence are valued. Your experience with optical modeling tools, such as Zemax or LightTools, equips you to tackle complex challenges in optical design. You are comfortable working in a dynamic, agile, multi-disciplinary setting, and you appreciate the importance of innovation and IP creation in your work.

What you'll do

As an Optical Engineer at Apple, you will be responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge optical instruments for metrology systems. These instruments will be crucial for calibrating and testing optical display modules across various product lines, including vision, phone, watch, and more, during the new product introduction (NPI) stage. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the optical systems meet the high standards expected at Apple.
