Job Description
Who you are
You have 5 years or more of software development experience on iOS and/or macOS platforms using C, C++, Objective-C, and Swift. Your background includes frameworks, application development, and user interface experience, which are preferred for this role. You have experience creating system test and validation tools, and you understand the importance of developing software that is released to a production environment. Your expertise in object-oriented programming and design allows you to contribute effectively to the team.
You possess a solid appreciation for how great user experiences require deep technical thought and consideration. Excellent communication and organizational skills are part of your toolkit, enabling you to work effectively in a diverse group. You thrive in cross-functional teams, demonstrating your ability to multitask, prioritize, and follow through on projects.
Desirable
You have experience with or an understanding of wireless and networking technologies, as well as video, graphics, and audio processing. Your background includes developing interfaces used for automated tests, which is preferred for this position. Familiarity with Unix and Linux environments will further enhance your contributions to the team.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be part of the Car Experience Systems Engineering team at Apple, defining and supporting the development and adoption of how iPhone and vehicles communicate. Your work will enable user experiences that are used and loved by customers worldwide. You will support the development and testing of new and existing automotive iOS integration efforts, ensuring that the tools you create are of the highest quality.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, leveraging your strong software engineering skills to build high-quality automotive system simulation tools. Your role will require you to think critically about user experiences and how to enhance them through technical solutions. You will be responsible for developing new features that improve the integration between iOS and automotive systems, ensuring that they meet the needs of users.
