Who you are

You have a strong background in C/C++ programming, with a deep understanding of memory management, threading, and performance optimization. Your debugging skills are top-notch, allowing you to tackle complex issues effectively. You take ownership of features and stability investigations, driving their resolution across multiple software components.

Your experience includes low-level graphics application programming, firmware, or driver development, which gives you a solid foundation for this role. You have a keen interest in software architecture and design, and you are always eager to learn about the latest advancements in graphics and display technology.

What you'll do

As a Mac Display Driver and UI Frameworks Engineer, you will work closely with the Mac Display Driver team to enable state-of-the-art display technologies across all Mac products. Your responsibilities will include implementing display and UI-related features, optimizing performance, and improving the quality and robustness of the display and UI software stack. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new technologies into existing systems.

You will be involved in the development of core Mac graphics and display components, such as the window compositor and CoreAnimation. Your role will require you to analyze performance metrics and identify areas for improvement, ensuring that the user experience remains smooth and responsive. You will also participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall architecture of the software stack.
