Who you are
You are a privacy and engineering expert with over 5 years of experience assessing project and product privacy risks and recommending mitigating controls. Your familiarity with security and privacy standards such as SOC, ISO 27001, GDPR, and CCPA makes you a strong candidate for this role. You have a proven track record of creating privacy assessment templates and administering privacy assessments with project and product teams, ensuring compliance in complex environments.
You thrive in collaborative settings, working closely with technical experts and legal counsel to analyze existing systems and processes against privacy requirements. Your ability to architect changes when needed demonstrates your proactive approach to improving compliance with regulations. You understand the nuances of privacy frameworks and have experience with various regulations, including HIPAA and the EU AI Act.
What you'll do
In this role, you will focus on privacy compliance within the Wallet, Payment, and Commerce Engineering team at Apple. You will participate in discussions on the technical design and implementation of new privacy requirements, ensuring that Apple Pay product lines adhere to GDPR and other relevant standards. Your hands-on approach will involve analyzing existing systems and processes, identifying areas for improvement, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement necessary changes.
You will be responsible for assessing privacy risks associated with new projects and products, providing recommendations for mitigating controls. Your expertise will guide the development of privacy assessment templates and the administration of privacy assessments, ensuring that all teams are aligned with compliance requirements. You will also stay updated on evolving privacy regulations and standards, adapting processes and systems as needed to maintain compliance.
