Who you are
You have 3+ years of demonstrated ability in mechanical design, preferably with consumer electronics products. Your experience includes working with contract manufacturers, which is highly desirable. You have a passion for making great products and solving tough design problems, and you possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with both internal teams and external vendors.
Your background includes experience with handheld or portable devices, which gives you a unique perspective on design challenges. You are adept at balancing multiple priorities on demanding schedules, ensuring that you deliver outstanding design solutions. Your proven experience in plastic design and prototyping will be crucial in this role.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for building prototypes for design validation and driving failure analysis. As designs mature, you will work on-site at contract manufacturers in India to implement and integrate iPhones, enabling product at scale. You will lead projects in a multi-functional setting, collaborating with engineers, designers, and vendors to ensure that the final product meets Apple's high standards of quality and innovation.
