You hold a Ph.D. in computer science, engineering, or a related field, and have a strong background in machine learning and robotics. Your experience includes working with generative models such as LLMs, VLMs, and diffusion models, which you have leveraged in your research to develop innovative solutions. You possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Your track record demonstrates a consistent ability to research, invent, and ship advanced machine learning models. You are familiar with learning-based control policies and have experience in robot manipulation, which allows you to contribute meaningfully to the development of reliable robotic systems. You stay up to date with the latest literature in the field, ensuring your work is informed by cutting-edge research.
What you'll do
In this role, you will collaborate with a team of ML and robotics specialists at Apple to conduct research on various novel machine learning approaches. A core component of your responsibilities will involve leveraging foundation models to develop new learning-based control policies that enhance robotic systems. You will inform data collection efforts and contribute to the training and testing infrastructure necessary for successful model deployment.
You will engage in research that focuses on vision-language-action models (VLAs), imitation learning, reinforcement learning, and world models, among other areas. Your contributions will help shape the future of robotics at Apple, enabling the development of generalizable and reliable systems.
