Apple is hiring a Camera Control-Systems Engineer to develop systems and calibration procedures for high image quality in camera technology. You'll work with MATLAB and Simulink to model and simulate control systems. This position requires a BS degree and experience in control systems design.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a BS degree in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or Optical Engineering. You possess experience with control systems design for electro-mechanical systems and are familiar with estimation strategies such as Kalman filters. Your proficiency in MATLAB and/or Simulink for modeling and simulation is essential for this role.
With an MS or PhD in a relevant field and over 10 years of industry experience, you have a proven track record of leading technical projects with small to medium teams. Your expertise extends to real-time control realizations involving microcontrollers, FPGAs, and RTOS, as well as experience with inertial navigation sensors and sensor fusion.
What you'll do
In this role, you will engage in systems-level analysis and modeling of imaging and sensing systems, focusing on the design and development of the next generation of camera technology. You will be responsible for developing robust control strategies and constructing prototypes to guide development. Your work will involve defining test procedures and documenting requirements and design considerations to ensure high image quality across various use cases.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to address challenges related to autofocus, image stabilization, and stereo imaging. Your contributions will directly impact the performance and reliability of camera systems, enhancing the user experience for Apple products.
