Who you are

You have 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong focus on building developer tools that enhance usability and performance. Your expertise in Python is complemented by experience in designing SDKs and CLIs, making you well-equipped to tackle complex challenges in developer experience. You are comfortable working closely with users, gathering feedback, and understanding their pain points to ship meaningful improvements. Your strong communication skills enable you to collaborate effectively across teams, ensuring that the tools you develop meet the needs of engineers at Apple.

You have a solid understanding of machine learning workflows and terminology, which allows you to design systems that cater to the specific needs of ML engineers. Familiarity with JavaScript and React is a plus, as you will be involved in creating web-based developer tools. Your experience with Kubernetes and observability tools will help you contribute to the robustness of the platform, ensuring that it scales effectively with the needs of the organization.

What you'll do

In this role, you will shape how engineers build with Apple's internal ML Compute platform by designing and evolving tools that thousands of engineers use daily. You will focus on reducing friction and accelerating workflows, making complex infrastructure feel simple. Your work will involve prototyping solutions rapidly and shipping improvements that enhance the usability of the platform. You will collaborate closely with users to understand their challenges and iterate on solutions based on their feedback.

You will be responsible for designing developer-facing APIs and systems, ensuring that they are user-friendly and efficient. Your role will also involve working with cross-functional teams to gather insights and implement changes that improve the overall developer experience.
