Job Description

Who you are

You have a BS degree and over 20 years of relevant industry experience in signal and image processing, with a deep understanding of SoC display subsystem architecture. Your expertise in chip architecture and design allows you to navigate complex technological challenges effectively. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with SoC and fabric architects, software, and system engineers to create innovative solutions. Your ability to provide detailed architectural guidance throughout the design process is a key strength, ensuring that projects move smoothly from concept to production.

You possess a strong background in display subsystem architecture, including memory fabric interfaces, data pipe flow controls, and memory compression. Your knowledge of display interfaces and the intricacies of SoC design enables you to make informed recommendations on key design trade-offs that balance architecture and performance. You are a forward-thinker who enjoys solving architectural challenges and driving engineering excellence.

Desirable

A Master's or PhD degree in a relevant field would be a plus, as would any additional certifications in SoC design or related areas. Your passion for state-of-the-art technologies and your commitment to innovation make you an ideal candidate for this role.

What you'll do

In this highly visible role, you will lead the architecture of SoC display subsystems, collaborating with engineers across Apple to develop algorithms and architectures that enhance technology experiences. You will be responsible for all aspects of the display subsystem architecture, ensuring that it meets the high standards Apple is known for. Your role will involve authoring and maintaining detailed architecture specifications, guiding the design process, and providing insights that drive project success.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to architect display subsystems, including display pipe control, memory, and interfaces.
