Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience, along with 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in designing and operating high-availability infrastructure or security systems. Your strong programming skills in Python, Go, or Java enable you to create efficient and maintainable software solutions. You have experience building and operating distributed systems or cloud-native applications at scale, which has equipped you with a deep understanding of the challenges involved in such environments.

Your proficiency with Kubernetes and container orchestration allows you to manage complex deployments effectively. You are familiar with CI/CD pipelines, ensuring that the software development process is streamlined and efficient. You possess strong coding skills that produce maintainable, efficient, and testable software, which is crucial for the reliability of security systems.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design and build the large-scale systems that power Apple’s internal security and privacy operations. You will work on pipelines, automation frameworks, and distributed services that support vulnerability detection, data processing, and secure workflows. Your work will combine software engineering and reliability engineering, making services performant, observable, and highly available while continually improving developer productivity and operational efficiency.

You will collaborate across Apple and with partner organizations to evolve the infrastructure that underpins Apple’s security analysis and response capabilities. Your contributions will ensure that Apple’s security and privacy technologies are fast, resilient, and built to protect users around the world.
