Who you are

You have 5+ years of industry experience in software engineering and/or security engineering — you've built and deployed scalable systems that prioritize security and performance. Your proficiency in engineering highly scalable microservices using Python or Java is complemented by your experience with RESTful APIs and NoSQL databases deployed on public cloud environments. You are well-versed in modern security tools and techniques, enabling you to effectively identify and remediate security risks throughout the software development lifecycle.

Your expertise in assessing security risks in modern application tech stacks allows you to define and implement detective and preventive security controls — you understand the nuances of cybersecurity and are passionate about creating secure environments for developers. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related engineering field underpins your technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.

What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineer in the AI & Data Platforms organization, you will be responsible for engineering, deploying, and managing Apple’s internal security services — your work will empower engineering teams to build secure applications. You will leverage the latest AI technologies to enhance security measures and develop best-in-class cybersecurity services that meet the evolving needs of the organization.

You will assess AI-related security risks and implement detective and preventive controls to address these emerging threats — your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that security is integrated into the software development lifecycle from the ground up. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to foster a culture of security awareness within the team.
