Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in software engineering. You are passionate about quality assurance and have a strong background in developing automated testing frameworks. Your experience includes working with hardware-centric software risks and you are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks.

You possess a solid understanding of machine learning principles and are eager to apply them to enhance automation tools. Your coding skills are strong, particularly in Python, and you have experience with test automation frameworks. You are a proactive problem solver who enjoys tackling complex challenges and mentoring others in the team.

What you'll do

As a Software Engineer on the Product Systems Quality team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing automated testing frameworks that gather extensive test data to ensure the stability of Mac and Home products. You will work closely with engineering and QA teams to identify risk areas and develop testing responses that enhance product quality. Your role will involve balancing the development of new automation tools with the maintenance of existing systems that run on thousands of units daily.

You will leverage machine learning capabilities to predict and prevent system failures, ensuring that products are delivered at the highest quality. Your contributions will directly impact the customer experience, as you will be at the forefront of ensuring that Apple’s innovative products meet rigorous quality standards. You will also have opportunities to mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
