Who you are

You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience. You bring a strong love for data and the ability to iterate quickly across all stages of the data pipeline lifecycle. Your engineering and communication skills are top-notch, and you believe that data-driven processes lead to exceptional products. You have experience building large-scale distributed data processing systems and frameworks using big data technologies, demonstrating a passion for quality and an ability to understand and evolve sophisticated systems.

Desirable

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP is a plus. Familiarity with data visualization tools and methodologies will enhance your candidacy. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to work closely with cross-functional teams to drive impactful results.

What you'll do

As a Software Engineer on the Apple Services Engineering team, you will be responsible for developing large-scale data pipelines and analytical solutions using big data technologies. You will collaborate with a small, highly engaged team to shape the future direction of the ASE Analytics & Data Engineering team. Your role will involve designing and implementing data processing frameworks that meet Apple’s high standards for performance and quality. You will work on projects that power the App Store, Apple TV, Apple Music, and more, ensuring that data flows seamlessly across various platforms.

You will also be involved in optimizing existing data systems and processes, ensuring they are efficient and scalable. Your contributions will directly impact the user experience across Apple’s services, as you help deliver entertainment in over 35 languages across more than 150 countries. You will have the opportunity to iterate quickly and make data-driven decisions that enhance the quality of Apple’s offerings.
