Who you are

You are a strong developer with expertise in C, C++, Swift, or Objective-C, and you have a solid understanding of HTTP protocols including HTTP/1.1, HTTP/2, and HTTP/3. Your experience includes working on client-side HTTP code that powers major Apple services such as Safari, WebKit, and iCloud. You are proficient in runtime performance optimization, multithreaded programming, and cross-layer design, and you are eager to learn and grow in these areas. You possess strong communication and collaboration skills, allowing you to work effectively with various teams across Apple.

Desirable

Experience with URL and URI standards is a plus, as is familiarity with Apple's operating systems including iOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS. You are passionate about innovation and have a track record of developing high-quality products on schedule.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining next-generation technologies for Apple's mobile, desktop, wearable, and services platforms. You will collaborate closely with networking teams and other peer groups to ensure seamless integration of HTTP functionalities across Apple applications. Your work will involve implementing and optimizing APIs such as URLSession, which is critical for user interactions in various Apple services. You will also engage in code reviews and contribute to the overall architecture of the HTTP framework, ensuring it meets the high standards expected by Apple users.
