You have 4+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in data science and analysis, and possess excellent programming skills, preferably in Python. Your background includes working with distributed data technologies and large-scale data processing, such as Hadoop and Spark, which allows you to effectively support data science analysis and prototype metrics. You are experienced in building, supporting, and evolving frameworks and libraries that assist data scientists in creating data analysis products. Your hands-on data engineering work complements your role as an internal engineering consultant for data science projects, where you provide insights on computation, data access, and data storage considerations. You understand best practices in software engineering and are committed to driving substantial change within your team.

What you'll do

As a Data Science Software Engineer at Apple Maps, you will be instrumental in harnessing user data to inform critical decisions across the Maps organization. You will work closely with data scientists to support their analysis and ensure that the data pipelines you build are robust and efficient.
